Does the factory unlocked version of Galaxy S2 have AWS

There's a guy on kijiji selling his Samsung Galaxy S2 i1900 for an amazing price. On gsmarena it shows that the telus version has 1700/2100 and the other version 1900/2100. For some reason it has been 3 days and he hasn't responded to my email :/ so i thought I would ask it here.

You shoudln't trust everything that gsmarena.com tells you. There is no version of i9100 that has AWS, factory unlocked or not. Telus has never sold the i9100. The T989 Galaxy S II X does have AWS HSPA which is the model that Telus sells. They are completely different products with differents specifications, cpu speeds, screen sizes, and supported radio frequencies. The difference in physical appearance is also obvious (not just by differing size).

O.O Ya I know that gsmarena has alot of errors but thats the reason I couldn't find it on telus's website. Then why exactly did they say "for telus" for absolutely no reason? Thanks

The S2 X is another phone. I said on the page of the i9100 it said "900/1700/2100 - For Telus".

telus' Galaxy S2X is the Samsung Galaxy T989 AKA "Hercules"

    ignore Telus' BS naming.

yes totally compatable with AWS networks once unlocked.

What about the rogers version of the LG Optimus 3D? Which one is the 900/1700/2100 version? Cause there are 2 versions. Why the hell do they make 2 versions of the same phone. Like make one version that is pentaband.

Galaxy Nexus supports AWS and Regular, as does the Telus S2X. Both phones are being heavily discounted right now in many places.
I believe the international version of SGS3 (nvidia tegra 3 without lte), also so supports AWS I believe.

I will admit that discovering which bands are supported is really annoying and there are far too many versions and things to worry about, but try to maintain your composure nonetheless.

Just start with the idea that it's all ******** and all the carriers and phone makers are out to get you, and work your way up from there so you're never disappointed :^)

damn man ... chill the freak out ... it is all due to AWS not being a famous band ... very very few carriers only use the AWS bands and the 99% of the world use GSM/3G/4G etc... so thats why it is not easy to find AWS phones

but tell you what ... check out tmobile USA whatever phones they use it will work with WIND ....
