Imessage isn't working

my imessage isn't working for me on my iphone 4, it just doesn't send unless i'm connected to the wifi.

useing the 45$ plan from straighttalk.

it's been working for a few months just randomly stopped now and it's really aggravating

Is data working? If your data is working, iMessage should work.

My data works but the iMessages won't send, I've tried several of my friends with iPhones and the message doesn't send.

You could try resetting your network settings (Settings/General/Reset). Have you tried disabling and reenabling iMessage?

Probably part of the data problems that have been talked about extensively in other threads. You could try turning airplane mode on and off to reset your connection, and then trying to send the messages. If we're having to hit refresh on webpages, then imessage is probably giving up after the first try, waiting 10 minutes to try again, or some such, when it again can't get through on the first try.

Turning iMessage off then turning it back on fixed the issue with my iPhone.
