Huawei M835 and $25 talk and text

can this phone work with talk and text for $25 and then use wifi and no data from metro?

I asked the local store and they said no I needed a $50 plan but I was hoping to flash it and use it to talk and text and use android when I find wifi

No, the m835 is only available on the $50 or $60 smartphone plan. Only non-android phones are available on the $25 plan. Also, they have to be new phone purchases, you cannot bring in a phone you already own and have it reactivated on that plan.
