Port from VM to Boost?

I am a long standing VM customer on an OptimusV and I have access to a Boost Moto Xprt.
Is it possible to "port" from VM to Boost and bring my number with me?
The reason I ask and the reason I put port in parenthesis is that since both brands are owned by Sprint, it is not really a port.
Any personal experiences out there?

It is not a port it is termed migration since you're going from one section of their network to another. Same from Sprint to Virgin, or Sprint to Boost, or Boost to Virgin et all.

Call Boost and tell them that you want to port. They'll walk you through it. Takes about 10 minutes, done while you're on hold. They'll need your phone number/account number pin etc.
