I want to stay with t-mobile (my contract is up) but I would really like a simple flip phone. The ones offered by t-mobile get poor customer ratings. I bought an unlocked phone but it turned out to be locked with AT&T and I couldn't get it unlocked.
Any suggestions? I'm now hoping to find a pre-paid flip phone with t-mobile that I like and just change the sim card. Any comments?

A flip phone is a phone with a cover for the keyboard that you "flip" open to operate. Flip phones tend to be very small and aren't subject to "pocket dialing."
macfish - I have a very old Sony Ericson tm506 that works quit well as a T-Mobile flip phone. I followed the directions found in the forums wiki to unbrand it so that I can use the GPS with GoogleMaps and also use the built in radio that T-Mo disabled. You can still buy them new on eBay for less than $90 and put your existing sim card in them. I wouldn't recommend buying a used TM506, because the stupid proprietary headphone and phone to usb jack contacts wear out after a few years on this phone. I use mine with a T-mo unlimited voice and text plan, plus a small data plan.
I also have an unlocked old Blackberry 8310 from ATT that works well with the same sim card, but its not a flip phone.
