Exclamation Switching sim card from phone to phone a lot

I normally run an ATT iphone 4s, but I also have a Samsung Captivate with 4.1.1 that I like to run some days. With ATT I just swap out my SIM and have had no issues doing this for years.

Swapping over to ST soon and was wondering if I could do the same, or if I had to call every time I wanted to switch. If I have to call that's no good, reminds me when I was on Sprint and had to call every time I wanted to switch phones.

Also how are you guys enjoying your coverage? My biggest fear is that the coverage will be worse than my current ATT coverage. I know they use the same network, but didn't know if there was a technicality that made ATT better somehow.

100% possible. Buy a AT&T BYOD sim and you can be as swap happy as you want. It will use the AT&T postpaid network your already familiar with including roaming. It doesn't use their prepaid, native non roaming network.

I forgot to mention that u would be porting my AT&T number to ST, so I'm assuming this wouldn't make a difference and I still would be able to switch at will?

The Samsung Captivate uses a miniSIM card while the iPhone 4S uses a microSIM card. To make it easier to switch between the phones, order a microSIM card from Straight talk. Get a microSIM card adapter online so that you can use a microSIM card in a miniSIM card slot.

Right now I'm using an AT&T iPhone 4. I finished my contract last June, so I called AT&T and had them unlock it. I ordered the ST SIM for AT&T byod, popped it in the iPhone 4, and I've been a happy camper since then. I'm thinking of switching to the Galaxy S3 on AT&T. I would keep the iPhone 4 (at least for awhile, for a backup). So as I understand it, I could simply take the micro SIM from the iPhone 4, put it in the S3, and it should work?

BTW, I called ST a few minutes ago and asked the same question. The rep I spoke to said that the ST SIM I bought only works in the iPhone 4, and that I would have to purchase a new SIM for the new phone.

AT&T sells the S3 for $549.99 with no contract. Should I buy from AT&T, or order from a different place?

What kind of roaming? I wasn't aware that roaming was part of the deal. I'm using an International unlocked Note with ATT sim. Under mobile network settings Data Roaming is not checked. Should it be?

While I'm asking, should it be set to GSM/WCDMA (auto mode) or GSM only?

    Thanks

I use a micoSIM to miniSIM adapter so that wouldn't be an issue.

It's running very decently. I'm on an old build from mid July though, but it's very smooth. Only issue so far is gmail likes to quit a lot. They have much more recent builds and I've been meaning to flash to some new builds but haven't had the chance.
