I'm Leaving WIND

After being a WIND user for more than two years, and using it as my primary service for about one year, I am sad to say that the time has come for me to leave WIND and switch to another provider.

Why? Not because of the small coverage area. Not because of "penetration" issues. Not because of data speeds. Certainly not because of cost.

In fact, I don't want to leave WIND. But I'm moving to the San Francisco area for a new job, and unfortunately, WIND does not have service there.

WIND has been great to me, so I wanted to write this more positive post about leaving.

I'll still remain an active member of this forum, although I may also start spending some time in the T-Mobile forum.

It's been great sharing my favourite network with all of you

I don't really use covermapper now but I remember when you first released it to the public I had fun with it. Made my excercise routine a bit more entertaining. Always tried to go through new places that were not recorded yet.

All the best. One thing I have found out is that any unlocked phone with AWS (Windmobile+ T Mobile) works in most carriers. But not the other way round.

I'm using a Galaxy Nexus, so I'm not too concerned. And I can't imagine the next Nexus will supporter fewer bands, so I think I'll be safe, as long as I don't go to Verizon.
