Thank you for the posts to all. Hands down the best resource on this i've seen online yet. I had a company online program my phone originally, Bionic, they did a good job, however I got tired of the stock rom, so bought CDMA-WS, got DFS and flashed eclipse ICS to it, which i love. Then got a blank 4G sim, went through the steps everything is fine except 3g. The phone seems to auto program once the card is in, so i'm actually wondering if i need to get a new number/PP account etc. either that or as usual, I'm doing something wrong. I've been at this for couple of months, walked away from it for a bit, now back and would like to give it another go. Also, dunno, could be the rom i'm on for whatever reason. The camera works on the phone, good photos which is important to me as I sell used computer parts on ebay all the time. When the wifi is on, i see the 3g icon, but only connects via my home network, even when i walk away to really test 3g. I got skype on another computer, web cam, can put teamview on my cdma-ws computer, will grab whatever rom and a new blank 4g card. Like i said, it could be my pageplus account, not sure. Seems whatever i do in cdma-ws the settings get changed once the phone does auto program, maybe somewhere in there is where i'm goofen. If you can help lemme know.
I think because I had my Bionic originally flashed by another company with a stock rom 3G card that may be the reason I've been having a hard time getting the 3G data to work even on a blank sim 4G card. When wifi is on i can get 1x and 3x. I just put eclipse ICS 1.3 on the phone, redid all the programming. Everything else works fine but 3G data when I'm not on wifi. PagePlus had been very cool about trying to help me get my data going again. They have resent the data numerous times, having me pull the battery out while the signal gets resent. Appreciate any help. a11en
Would someone please revise this guide from the beginning (similar to snoop1979 s new great guide for the Razr Maxx) for JB etc . I know that the process is similar with the Bionic is similar but some of us are not good at reading between the lines ? A guide using DFS exclusively if possible would be even better. - Thanks
Hey, Snoop. I just bought an used Bionic from Ebay with ICS .246. I got pageplus to do an esn swap and I have my MIN/MDN number. My question was, I don't use data or mms. I just want voice and sms, what would be the easiest way to get this phone working? Would I have to go through all the steps on the original post? Can I skip the beginning part where you update the software to ICS?
Also, I don't know if you would be familiar with this but I thought I would just ask: how reversible is this whole process? Would I be able to turn this phone back into stock settings if I needed later on? There are ways where people are unlocking the GSM on this phone to use overseas. Do you think that would work alongside the pageplus without too much hassle? Can I made a Nandroid backup which would keep the pageplus settings if I needed to revert to stock in order to use overseas, and then easily restore the nadroid backup?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank a lot.

there is no easy way and if you need mms you need to enable data! MMS uses data so just follow new guide for OTA activation on ICS
here is the new guide

finally got the 3g working, had to do the swap to another phone, write a .nam file, all had to be done manually in cdma-ws and also the pass for data, shared secret blah blah is not anything i've seen before, plus, when doing the swap, had to shut my phone down, pull battery and sim, then transfer back, i had my phone originally done by beige so also had to grab a new sim, hope this helps someone, a11en
