Lightbulb Battery life on Galaxy S III. How long do you last?

Hey guys, I got a Galaxy S 3 and I used to have a Nokia and a Motorola device before it. I'm getting around 18 hours of usage on S3 and frankly I'm a little bit upset.
    How long do you get?
Is this a normal result or not?
Also, one of my friends recommended a 4600mAh extended battery for it, but I only used extended batteries on Motorola before and need some feedback on this.

If I play 5 hours of games in a day, mine will only last 12-16 hours, but with minimal use I could stretch it to 3 days(hour or so a day of screen on use) Which is significantly better than my old S1 Vibrant. And I sync to Facebook, google, skype, weather, flipboard, etc.

Normal varies from person to person depending on how much you use it, whether or not you are using mainly cell or wifi data, GPS, etc. If you are using a lot of cell data, the battery will drain pretty quickly. Signal strength also comes into play especially with LTE.

I would like to say galaxy s3 have pretty long battery life, generally I am able to manage about 20 to 24 hours without charging it. But it is really smart to have this phone.

Put it in power saving mode.
    Turn off Bluetooth until needed.
    Turn off GPS until needed.
    Lower the display brightness.

I charge mine every night anyway, so battery life is a non issue for me.

with wifi on all day streaming pandora and reading rss feeds occasionally i usually end up having to charge it by 4 or 5 in addition to charging it all night. should this be what to expect? or should i be waiting for a similar update on at&t?

Well the bell update was for app optimization so that it would use less battery consumption. And the pink bean update end of this month should make the phone use less ram

I was getting about 2 days, then I clicked the samsung apps and it downloaded some kind of Samsung push or something. After that I was getting much less time. I uninstalled/disabled those apps and everything is back to normal.
Btw, it is hard to compare old phones with new phones. Sure a 69 Mustang was a cool car, but the gas mileage cannot compare to todays vehicle!
