    Question HTC One S Question

    Hello All,

I just got my hands on a HTC One S for free. I am still deciding if I want to sell it, so i have not opened the packaging. I just have a question. Does it come with Fido branded version of Android? Also is there a way to tell if a phone is unlocked without opening the packaging (incase I want to sell it)?

Any iPhone 4 users who have jumped ship to this phone? Are you happy with it or do you miss your iPhone?

Thanks in advance for your responses.
Providers: Fido, T-Mobile (USA / UK), Warid (PAK) Etisalat (UAE)

If you got the phone from Fido, it will be locked to Fido. As for the version of Android, you will end up getting HTC's version (with HTC Sense) and some Fido specific applications. There's no Fido specific version of Android, just the manufacturers.

I used to have an iPhone 4 a couple of years back and have jumped onto Android and loved it. There are some distinct advantages with iPhones (instant OS updates etc.) but overall, I find the Android ecosystem works better for me. It took me some time to adjust, but in the end was worth it!

Thanks for your response and you views on Android vs iOS. I am going to wait until the next iPhone is announced in the coming days and make my final decision then. I may just sell the One S and get either a Galaxy 3 or One X.
