    Simplest prepaid

Guys, I need your good advice.

I'm going to stay in the US for six months and want to buy a sim-card for my unlocked gsm phone.
I don't need any data and international calls. And I feel like I won't make a lot of domestic calls too.
Spot Mobile seemed OK, but now their site is down, and I've decided to ask for other options. Maybe, I should try some Airvoice plan?

    Any ideas?

Be patient and wait for Spot. $10 gets you six months. Cheapest gsm plan in the country.

Give Spot a few days. When I called to check my balance they said they were doing some kind of .upgrade'. Airvoice would be a good choice if Spot gets too hard. Where/How would you get a Spot SIM??

I know nothing about Spot, but I currently use Airvoice. Airvoice is good. $10 a month gets you 4 cents a minute up to 250 min, 2 cents a text up to 500, balance rolls over as you add time, so for $60 you get 6 months of coverage, up to 1500min, up to 3000 domestic texts, or up to 181 MB of data. I say up to, due to if you use the phone only for that 1 thing.

    Hope this helps.
