You can't wait about a month until your upgrade eligibility date ? Your chances would be slim to none to get an earlier upgrade, especially with an iPhone.

I bought my iPhone 4 on the day it was released on Verizon. That day also happened to be my upgrade date. My current upgrade date is 10/10/12. Since the iPhone 5 will be released before this, will Verizon allow me to upgrade early?
I would think both Apple and Verizon want to sell as many as possible the first week. They love to be able to brag about that sort of thing. I would think they would lose (well delay) a lot of sales by not moving the upgrade date for people who bought the iPhone 4 on launch day.

If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??
Sarcasm is a fine art...

It's not a matter of if you win or lose, it's how you assign the blame
I'm definitely not waiting. It just seems like a strange move for Apple to make. Depending on what sales figures you read, they sold 1 million iPhone 4's the first week of the Verizon release. They are going to lose (delay) most of those sales because none of those 1 million people are eligible for an upgrade.
It's possible that there may be some sort of special that gets run that allows for an early upgrade to an iPhone 5.
Possible in that way that Chaos Theory says that all things, however improbable, are possible.
Translation: don't hold your breath. You'll likely turn blue and die.
are you serious?
Sure you're waiting unless you wish to pay full price, except if VZW were to offer as ATTM did that you pay a couple of hundred $$ in order to upgrade early...... I really can't believe anybody is this foolish over a phone that hasn't even seen the full light of day. Sounds like you better start getting a jump on lining up next weekend in front of the Apple store in order to be the first one to get his new iPhone5(or whatever it's designated).
Wait, I get it, this is a joke thread to see how many people are stupid enough to fall for your silly joke. Boy am I embarrassed, I fell for it.
Any past exceptions for early upgrades have specifically excluded the latest iPhone. Apple has a strict policy to not allow their stuff to ever be sold for a penny less then MSRP, and in their eyes an early upgrade must count as a discount.
I highly doubt it. Upgrade policies concerning early upgrades for iPhones are pretty strict against it. Apple doesn't like anything that would discount or sell their product without it just selling itself.
There will never be an Iphone 5 so good luck with upgrading to something that will never exist![]()
Its possible for reps to do an early upgrade for you to other smartphones, but for the iPhone, no way. Even when the earlier models came out, the employees were not allowed to get one on their line for at least 1-2 months, even if they got them as a gift from someone else.![]()
Will there be an upgrade soon for the 8525?
