I have two lines on one account with Fido, been with them for 5+ years. My sense is that these are still very competitive but curious if any other carriers are now lower?
Line 1 (Month to Month, no contract):
$50 Unlimited N. American calling unzoned
$10 VP
$30 6GB Data
$3 2500 CF Minutes
$4 Rebate Int'l Calls
$0 Tethering Access
Less $4 VP Loyalty Credit
----
$93 bef tx
Line 2 (Month to Month, no contract)
$35 CityFido Unlimited Voice
$25 2GB data
$10 Value Pack
Less $5 Data Discount
--------
$65 before tax
I particularly like the N. American calling on line 1, the CityFido unlimited on line 2. Also being M2M allows me to call in to leverage when I do see other better plans (thus the $20 2GB plan on Line 2!), although Fido doesn't match very much anymore
For line 2 virgin mobile, unlimited local $40 plus $25 2 GB, plus text unlimited $5 comes with caller I'd and vm in the plan. Plus byop discount 10%. Comes to $63 if you bring your own phone, so $2 discount; dont know if that's worth it for you.
Your line 1 could switch to the new $11 VP if they let you keep your $4 VP discount.
^ What is not compatible? The discount on the VP?
Nevertheless, I was actually inquiring about this new $11 VP (in-market) because I had no clue it was even available. I tried searching but didnt find the answers i was looking for...when did this VP launch? Is this VP something similar to what Retentions might offer?
I have an older iPhone $10 VP and it's similar to the new one but mine doesn't include the 2500 CF minutes and I don't have unlimited MMS. I'm thinking I should call to change the old VP over but only as long as they don't touch my credits.
