T-Mobile has the hungriest data users

"T-Mobile does have the most data hungry users, with more than 11% of customers using more than 3GB per month of data, versus 4% for AT&T and Sprint and 3% for Verizon."

I think it's hard to generalize to all customers when the study seems to have only included 1000 Android phone users. I'd think the heaviest data users on the other networks would all have iPhones.

Just curious, why do you think the heaviest data users are on iPhones? I'd think they would be users with LTE. I'd think the fringe folks that use 20+GB a month are almost entirely people with LTE access.

I agree that the methodology of the study is pretty suspect.

I was able to use 15GB one month on Verizon when there network didn't have all the smartphone gridlock. If I wanted to I could switch to the new unlimited plan with T-Mobile and easily go higher then that because of Netflix being able to be HD.

I think the most hungriest data users are truck drivers because they can stream radios 24/7.

    LOL!
T-mobile has no coverage out of town, truck driver wouldn't get signal, no streaming at all.
    .. truck driver never choose T-mobile ...

Oh it just depends where people drive. If you can live with EDGE the coverage along most of I-5 is reasonable.

Yeah, I've also found iOS to be more data efficient, even though there are more apps out there to use data with...
I usually support government regulation, but It is unfortunate that the government over-regulated and killed the AT&T/ T-Mobile Merger
The best explanation of the pricing nutiness in the industry.
Why Sprint and T-Mo will always suck.
The only way to end the pricing insanity is to eliminate contracts and subsidies.
I want Wifi calling on AT&T.
If you text while driving, you're an idiot. End of story.

Well, I'm guessing that this is not 100% true, since Verizon has high prices and people don't want to go over limit, Sprint is slow, and AT&T on the page as Verizon. Also VZW has 85+mill users, obvious that most use less than 2GB, but they may still have more data hogs than T-Mobile.

The story says 1,000 total across all 4 major networks? Shouldn't it be an even 1,000 per network at least? This doesn't even seem like real data, just tracking 1,000 random people to say you did something.

Well, yeah. No crap t-mobile customers use the most data. It takes 3 times as long for sprint customers and at&t/verizon customers are too worried about overage to even try. I was watching netflix on my tmo tab 10.1 many times on my trips from d.c. to nyc. I was asked quite a bit how i can afford it.

Just my thoughts about the iPhone users I know. Really into "cool aps" and things like videos of cute cats. OTHO, doesn't the iPhone block things like Skype and VOIP over 3G?
