Anyone not that excited, LTE iPhone?

Honestly with how AT&T network has improved I'm not too excited with an LTE iPhone, I'm very satisfied with the performance of my 4S.

    Anyone else feel the same?

Hard to fathom, but the world doesn't revolve around the iWonder! Two things though, the iPhone 5 might just have a few more improvements than a 4, and ready or not VoLte is the carriers goal. They can raise prices while paying less to operate it.

Hold on to your shorts, It'll be a rough ride with ATT at the wheel!

Btw, other that expanding Lte with a new site, not much has changed. Same "no connection" I've always had.

I much prefer the iPhone compared to android. My question was directed to iPhone users.

Not really. LTE is the only good feature, everything else (screen, dock connector, shape) is a downgrade. Considering my area is fine with HSPA+, and I don't go to Manhattan often at all, I'm OK with staying with the 4S for a while, and seeing what happens in a couple of years.
I usually support government regulation, but It is unfortunate that the government over-regulated and killed the AT&T/ T-Mobile Merger
The best explanation of the pricing nutiness in the industry.
Why Sprint and T-Mo will always suck.
The only way to end the pricing insanity is to eliminate contracts and subsidies.
I want Wifi calling on AT&T.
If you text while driving, you're an idiot. End of story.

The closer the release date gets I've been thinking it might not be such an upgrade. One major flaw if it's true is putting the headphone jack on the bottom of the iPhone 5.
And now with AT&T's push back on Facetime while they allow other video chat apps.

I'm taking the "wait and see" approach. LTE would be a nice feature, but are the other features worth the upgrade?

No more LTE than AT&T has, it really shouldn't matter to their customers nationwide. Their HSPA network will take the place of LTE for many years. It matters much more to Verizon's customers, as they have far more LTE than AT&T.

Next month I'm upgrading from an iPhone 4 and switching from AT&T and if the iPhone 5 doesn't do it for me then I'm getting an android for the first time.

As long as I'm with ATT I won't be that excited about LTE, they've basically come within 5 miles of my house and stopped there. AT&T doesn't care about NWI. I'm also not crazy about the capped unlimited or the fact that they'll probably force you to switch to a plan with overages with this next iPhone.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hate Apple about now, may the bad Karma Apple is sending out come back to them ten fold. This is NOT the Apple I grew up with in the 70s and 80s, now they're just a greedy, spoiled brat of a company, may the iPhone become the iFail.

I'm content with the 3g speeds of att so lte isnt a rush for me, I personally wouldn't call lte reliable just yet. In time when they work the kinks out it should be.

As for the new iPhone, it prob won't have enough upgrades for me to get.

I can't wait in terms of plans hopefully in the future 3G will be unlimited with limited 4G but it's a long-shot.

I've been saying that for longer than you! My impression is that the iPhones will hit a downward spiral in the next few years, especially if some of the posters here are right, in that there will be nothing new. I think they are wrong, but agree that new features will be trivial, then that the point of no return. Sure they can sell them for less or some other scheme, but people will lose interest.

On the Android side, I also see a movement away from it by the OEMs. So, this is going to sound wild...SamsungOS! Yep, Google made them their ***** when they abandoned the in the court of hell. So, imo, Samsung will make a ChatON based feature phone and sell bazillions of them not only in the US, but the world (phone) Nokia style! Then again I'm a nut job who thinks email will succumb to chat as chat evolves.

There is a new chat app called MySMS, but it looks like it's a dresses up SMS revenue scheme. I've emailed them and made comments on blogs asking them a few question, and when the this subject comes up they stop the conversation. So only OEMs have a vested interest on making a great app, and they will.

Incompetent people don't know they're incompetent, and weenies don't know they're weenies.

Personally, the only benefit that I'd get out of LTE that I don't have on iPhone 4/4s is the ability to do 'good' Skype video calls.
AT&T has effectively killed Facetime, and its an Apple only product (I use Skype on Ubuntu/Windows/Android/iPhone/WebOS).
    AT&T... your world, throttled.
