TF, NET10, and ST all use the same towers.

There are no post-paid or pre-paid towers. It's just that AT&T pre-paid doesn't roam like the post-paid plans do. TF will roam (though you loose data capabilities).

Just like with Straight Talk, they offer an AT&T SIM and a T-Mobile SIM (for the same cost, with a single plan that costs $5 more -- face value anyway).

A prepaid service vs. postpaid, like AT&T and Verizon Wireless have (and the others in the Big Four as well; and probably U.S Cellular too), is really only distinguished by the restrictions placed on the prepaid side in accessing parts of the network, usually meaning the part not owned, leased, or controlled directly by them. That means "partner" networks, where they have to pay for traffic that is allowed by mutual agreement to access the partner under certain circumstances. That's a perk the prepaid side typically doesn't get, because it's an extra cost.

The America Movil companies have a different take on this, as they have no native network to begin with, so they have agreements with multiple carriers to optimize what they offer to customers given the chosen plan type.
