Hello, I am currently on a month to month plan with no contract and am interested in porting my number to wind. I am wondering what fees I will be charged if I port my number without giving 30 days notice? I was wondering what fees I would have to pay if I were to port my number without giving 30 days notice. My billing cycle is the 23rd of every month.
Is it possible that I could give my 30 days notice even though I am about 5 days past my billing cycle? But if it is possible to give 30 days notice today, would I just be paying for 5 days of service because I am 5 days over my billing period?
Basically I am looking for the cheapest way to port my number to wind so that I don't miss the $29 deal?

You simply pay for another 30 days of service. This is not Rogers or Fido... Bell & Virgin actually give you the option to provide a 30 days notice which allows you to port your number out anytime between 31 to 60 days of the pending port request. you likely won't even with the ccts complain either. Where with Rogers & Fido they all win
^ if you port out on the 26th day, how is that a 30 day notice?

Let me make it clear, if you want to provide Virgin a 30 day notice to port your number out, what they will do is put a pending port request on your line from the time you call in which is good for 60 days. So if you port out between Day 1 to Day 30 then you pay for an additional 30 days because you did not fulfill your obligation of the 30 day notice but if you port out anytime between 31 to 60 days then you have satisfied the 30 day notice, so you will not have to pay for the extra 30 days. Your billing will stop as soon as your line is ported out between 31 to 60 days.
