    Porting to Fido

Does anyone know if there is still a reduced cancellation fee for porting to Fido? I'm looking at leaving and between Fido and Koodo there are some nice plans that fit my needs. I think I'd pick there Koodo one if it would cost the same to port out though.

^You have to contact Rogers retention department; it is now up to their discretion to make you any offer for interbrand porting.

Ok, as long as it's still possible it could be worth a shot. Thanks.

Ok, I have another question, would it be like a new activation on fido? For example could I get a deal from futureshop or that superstore giftcard? That would be awesome.

P.s. I'm the second line of a family plan so that's why I'm still working on porting.

No you cannot. If rogers let's u do an interbrand port they will transfer you to a Fido sales rep who will take your order and mail the phone to you. You cannot perform the activation at any corporate or dealer locations.

I guess that makes sense, I'd be saving on the cancellation fees. Thanks.
