Would you be able to actually take screen-shots on the F-02D?? Just curious. also, I have yet to see a good video of the internet being used on the keitai...i saw only 2 videos on youtube and they weren't that good quality since i barely could see the keitai's screen. Anyway, Would anyone be willing to show me if facebook/twitter/youtube actually work on the keitai via wi-fi? and if screen-shots actually work...?
I use t-mobile so i would assume that 2G would be available for me (based on my experience with my 740SC where the carrier internet actually worked for me.) and i would assume on docomo's network, it would just be wi-fi then. meh. it's not that big of a deal. haha but yeah... heh. Anyone would like to answer these questions since I plan on getting the F-02D for my birthday soon~ (^-^)v

that option is usually only available on rooted android phones but some phones implement a key combination so you can take screenshots, i have never seen the phone so i would not been able to tell you if its possible.
i dont understand this part, yes you should be able to use the phone in 2G but what about Docomo? are you planning to go to Japan?I use t-mobile so i would assume that 2G would be available for me (based on my experience with my 740SC where the carrier internet actually worked for me.) and i would assume on docomo's network, it would just be wi-fi then. meh. it's not that big of a deal. haha but yeah... heh. the phone looks like this:and strange. on my regular android, i can take screenshots just fine by pressing the power button down + home button.... I use an HTC one S. anyway, as for the keitai, it's the docomo fujitsu F-02D. it's supposed to be a very very great keitai since it's a high-end one and not to mention a tad expensive. i'll be getting it by the end of this month as a birthday present along with the earphone adaptor and the data cable for the computer so i can transfer photos/videos/files etc etc. =) hehe.
I'm going to Japan most likely next year for a 2 week vacation but yeah...it won't be a long while and when i mean about i said in that paragraph, i meant the internet. it'd be wi-fi only i would assume, correct? I wonder if the phone supports Java/flash.
this is not an android phone for what im reading so...no, no screenshots, this looks like it's a high end MOAP device which does not support the functions you are asking for, its different on HTC Sense and Samsung TouchWiz since it's android it will let you do the screenshot function not the same with Symbian MOAP.
Since I use a traditional one like this phone, mobile sites of facebook and twitter do work but they kinda look ugly. They aren't as pleasant looking as I expected. As for video sites, it's a shame they don't all work. Mobile Youtube stopped working for me and I am not sure what the reason is. nico nico douga won't play through the desktop site and the mobile site is i-mode only. The only place I found successful for videos till now was google video ----> which is pretty useless xD
Here's a twitter screenshot. And it is like NeuroticallyYou said, you can't take screenshots from within the phone. So I had to use a camera. At least twitter now doesn't look as bad it was was few months back xD

You know you could use twtr.jp (or movatwi) for twitter, correct? xD (that's what I use when I used to go on my 740SC. lol...i switched back and forth until i finally ended up using twtr.jp >< haha) and how would facebook/youtube look like? and it's alright. I mean.. is this how most mobile sites look like?and strange. nico nico douga's mobile site worked on my android phone (heed in mind, it's american so yeah.... ><) anyway, is this the F-02D or another phone? and also...uh...i would assume it has games on it? according to some people, it does come with pre-installed games... hm...
There are few things to keep in mind though. 740SC is softbank which means it is different from docomo, therefore the internet use on it is definitely different. The thing with these docomo phones is that internet is accessed through a "Full Browser" which is similar to a computer browser and not a mobile one. So when I enter twtr.jp or any Japanese mobile link it will either direct me to the desktop version (in twitter case it takes me to twitter.com) or returns a message which says this site can only be accessed through a mobile browser. This happens because using the full browser the sites think I am actually accessing it form the computer and there is not indication that I am using a mobile phone.
Those traditional keitais are no where near android, so don't compare it to them. And this phone in the photo is CA-01C (Summer 2011). It has some preinstalled games but some require i-mode network to work. (I don't play any of the preinstalled games though xD)
I dunno if what I observed on my phone all applies to the f-02d. YouTube might work for you, I dunno. But recently even on some other model, the sh-10c, mobile YouTube has stopped working too. The browser on f-02d might be more advanced, maybe someone else would have the answer to this since I never used f-02d.
So, I think that i-mode sites look different then a normal mobile site. They are more pleasant and easy to use. Look here to see 3 different views of jigtwi which is another twitter client on i-mode, android and softbank: http://jigtwi.jp/pc/
how come docomo doesn't have a mobile browser? or does it have one? and I see jigtwi. haha. I know about it. ^__^; but yeah...the F-02D is an advanced cellphone. not android or anything like that but still great though. um... this is the exact phone i'm getting. same color and all. but i'm getting it from kyoto-exports. heh. :3
F-02D review
I-mode (crappy video but it's better than the other one)
Palette UI
Yes there is a mobile browser alternate to full browser and it is the i-mode. But sadly, you can not use i-mode out side Japan on a non docomo network. So basically, no mobile browser :P Even though f-02d is among the newest flip phones it is still just like other i-mode keitias. To use some of it full features you need to be in Japan on docomo network.
Can anyone take a photo of what an English SMS looks like on the phone? They never show them in reviews or unboxings :/
Wow, I've been trying hard to get this. I'm selling my Motorol Defy. All im looking for is in this phone. A clamshell type and with Answering machine. Not only that but it can record Full HD and can take 3D pictures too but im not sure about taking a 3D video. And one last thing I love about this phone is the fingerprint scanner security features!
Anyway i would like to ask if this looks a lot red or its just pink-red colour?
How can I see if there's a new reply to any thread I've posted in.
