Didn't you hear the news that "virtually" 100% of AT&T's wireless network is already HSPA?

    Lucky you.
I can barely stream audio to start with on certain short trips.
If I keep the audio stream to 32k then I have a better shot at keeping a constant feed going. Anything else, is a crapshoot.

Looks like AT&T is hoping to level the playing field in terms of spectrum

Yeah I don't think AT&T has much to worry about since there's spectrum available

Sure they will, the TMO buyout thing was an exercise in pushing the limits beyond what is expected.

They will be fine, at least in the Top 100 markets as this article talks about. Verizon will still hold the nationwide crown as they will have all the space between those Top 100 markets served with LTE next year.

Sounds like they are doing it the smarter way with smaller buys instead of one big buy. They still should consider filling in the gaps beyond the top 100.

Whether AT&T mis calculated the buyout's approval or not the point is AT&T was willing to shell out shed loads of cash for the buyout/merger.

No, actually they should not. MicroUSB is much more fragile than anything apple has came out with. As someone who works on electronics, i definitely see more MicroUSB ports stop working than any apple port ever has. Until the Android manufactures figure out to start doing like apple and making the port to where it can move around without ripping off the board, then MicroUSB will always fail in a much shorter amount of time.

AT&T will never win on this nor should they try playing this foolish game.
The biggest nightmare for AT&T isn't their coverage, but the endless onslaught of iPhones and Droids.

I second that, a while ago I had a HTC Android with Sprint, and the usb kept going out. At that time they looked like tin foil and I was told that it was a real problem. My next HTC was so beefed up with what looked like small bolts on it, and it defiantly was much thicker metal instead of tin foil. I think Sprint did us all a favor be making them change the design. These OEM's have got to know when they design these throw away phones that it's a week point!

Ironically I think that a mini Garmin like connection should be the standard. If you have ever used one you would know! And yes Garmin can make them thin. My current Garmin is iPhone thin! The ironic part is that it is similar to what Apple designed...wonder if Garmin will ever get sue happy!
With one hand you can snap it into (and out of) a charger/holder and you don't need to concern yourself about various device pairings. Say, if you snapped it into your car mount it would charge and BT could be activated to your cars BT. Same thing on your desk or night stand!

One mount, many phones, what a concept!

Oops!!! Someone forgot to flip the switch for the 100 mile stretch between Tucson and the NM state line and the 500 miles between El Paso and San Antonio.
