VM's $25 unlimited data/300 minute plan has come back?

It was mentioned in this thread here that the plan has come back:

    http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2267709

Does this work with the newer phones like the Evo?

No, it's only for older devices like the Triumph, Optimus, etc.

I can confirm that I do NOT see the $25 plan on my VM account with the Evo V, but when I log into another VM account with an Optimus V, it does show the option to change to the $25 plan.

Could anyone try doing this for the optimus Elite? and maybe confirm for the triumph, test it on the one V, etc.

Yes, please! It would be great to find out if any other phones might be able to be added to $25 plans.

My Elite is already on the $25 plan,so I'm afraid I can't add a data point... but will gladly watch for any other results!

As others said above, I was able to switch to the BT $25 plan on my Op V account but the "other plans" link doesn't exist on my Evo account. Great find, as I was not grandfathered.

In addition to finding out whether some of the other new phones can take advantage of this (like an Elite or One) I'd also like to know if new accounts have this available.

Last fall when they made the switch initially, new accounts did have the "other plans" link available for a week or so after they said it was going away.

For the record, the old $40 plan wasn't there just now (and the BT unlimited plan actually decreased after the switch so it wouldn't make sense to go back to that).

Could someone with an ELITE check this please. I'd upgrade in a heartbeat if it works!

Hopefully someone with an elite will chime in.

If not, you can get an Elite, activate a new line and then, if it shows the $25 plan link on the new Elite line, you can port your present number to google voice. You'd lose MMS of course.

If the new Elite phone number doesn't show the $25 link, you can take the phone back.

It is potentially a lot of trouble, but its one way to make sure you don't lose a $25 plan.

    Thanks.

    Lastly, One V anyone?

I don't think too many people have a Chaser...but I'll throw that in also.
