I have the Optimus V. I'm on the $35 plan, my month just renewed a few days ago, I'm good until 10/5/12. If I switch to $25 plan right now ( which I had once & lost), do I have to top up $25 immediately or am I still good until October 5?
So I have another positive experience to add to this thread. I upgraded my Wife's phone from the Intercept to the Elite back in June and consequently her plan went from $25 to $35 as a result. I was able to switch back to the $25 plan 2 days ago.
Also I've been eyeing a new phone to replace my aging OV and was thinking about getting an Evo V to replace it. Well after seeing this thread I happened to see that the Elite was on sale at RS for $100 so I jumped on it and picked one up. I did the phone swap on my account this evening and was happy to see I retained my $25 account directly, it never even switched to $35.
The first post in this other thread has a running list of the phones reported to be working with the revived $25 plan. We probably shouldn't start a new list in this thread.
I'm pretty sure that when you switch plans, you don't have to pay immediately. I remember changing my plan to the 35$ plan (up from $25), right before I activated my evo. I was able to pay $35 later.
Could this be a Sprint/VM response to an effective T-Mobile $30 plan?
If so, they need to allow it for all Android devices including the EVO V, ONE V. and the Reverb too.
Operating without a contract makes you far more valuable.
I hope this lasts another week at least.. just ordered an Optimus Elite on Amazon ($98 shipped) should be here wednesday or thursday.
Currently on with the EVO 4G, so can't lock in at the $25 rate until it gets here.. while I like the EVO, outside of some basic web browsing, email, and a few simple online games (such as Galcon and Project INF) I'd rather save the $10 a month especially when we don't even have Sprint 4G here.
So what's the most powerful plan that now works with the $25 plan? Is the Motorola Triumph still on top?
It doesn't really matter that 4G and iphones can't work on this plan. Just be glad that it's back, PERIOD. Anything else is a bonus.
If you've already had a prime free trial, you can open a new account and sign up for Amazon Mom which gives you a trial Prime membership of three months. Sometimes two day shipping items come the next day. If you haven't taken a free amazon prime trial, take it now and order it via prime.
As for the Evo, yeah if you don't live in a wimax market, it is a tougher sell. For me, I won't be going back to a 3.5 inch screen...plus I need the $45 plan most months anyway.
Hopefully there is some overlap between the elite coming and the return date of the Evo. you might think the $10 is worth it.
Sprint SERO type plan TWO lines + unlimited data $300 upgrade eligible ~60month
300 minute plan the only way to get data on Smart Access plan?
