Hey,

Cracked Galaxy S3 screen, where to get it fixed?

I just cracked my screen by dropping the phone, its the Galaxy s3 bell phone. Its a hairline crack.

Someone know where I can get this fixed in toronto? I called one store and they said they will fix it for $280....

Someone know of a cheaper place?

Is it worth fixing, or selling as is?

I am gona say something different because i have experience that when ever any one has any problem in his smartphone like you have in your s3 then he or she tries to sell his or her device in a cheap rate at ebay , swappa or any other place . I hope you would get the solution for your s3 but if you cant and decide to sell your device then i would suggest that do not forget to check it s current market value at Movaluate.com. according to this report http://www.movaluate.com/samsung/gal...i-verizon-blue from movaluate even NON WORKING S3 has still worth of $$200 .

You could probably get close to $300 for it on kijiji or craigslist, then spend an extra bit and get a second hand like new one!

Have you tried calling samsung also? They might be cheaper to fix with, you never know, and you retain your warranty still!

All Galaxy SIII's today are in warranty.

OP, $280 seems a bit high for an unofficial fix. I've seen official samsung authorized repair centres charge roughly the same amount.

Good point. Plus, the parts used by the 3rd parties are not "OEM" as they state. Id rather have peace of mind and take it to an authorized service center.

You mentioned you're in Toronto, so Barrie isn't a huge distance away from you. Some friends I know go to a guy in the 400 flea market who fixes the screens on most high-end phones in about 1hr for 80-100 bucks.

I wish I could provide more information, however all I know is that it;s called "Cellphone Repairs" And is right next to a bar? Haha, anyways, good luck!
