It is not an isolated issue to Galaxy S3 owners. That issue has been happening for the past year and a half in most areas without HSPA+ (and even in some with HSPA+).
THIS IS A WIND NETWORK ISSUE.
ACCEPT IT OR LEAVE.
To put it simply.

Hello All.
This is my last resort, before I give up on Wind and move back to one of the big three robbers. I am a new Wind customer. As most of the new customers I have purchased the new Galaxy S3.
I have a serious issue: upload speeds on my device NEVER go above 90 K. (see attached snapshot)
I have tested the speed in downtown Toronto, Vaughan, Thornhill - the results are steady - Download speeds are OK (around 2 Mbps), Upload speeds are horrible. It takes minutes to send a simple email!!!
Galaxy S3 owners, could you please check upload speeds on Wind mobile and reply with your numbers?
I know that there are speed tests results posted on the forum already, but it would be very informative to hear from other Galaxy S3 owners.
I am trying to understand if the problem is with my device, the network, or may be S3 model in general.
Since Wind mobile support is virtually non existent any help is greatly appreciated!

Nevermind Bell.. LTE is fine.
Thanks for the reply.
Just additional information: I have a colleague with a phone on wind network. His phone is an older google nexus. We tested the speed in exactly same spot and his readings were stable 128 K vs mine 80 K. That makes me think that the issue might be with the phone. Also, from this forum I have noticed that people are reporting ridiculously high speeds on Wind network ...
I have done around 50 tests, in different areas: Downtown Toronto. Vaughan - various locations, Thornhill -various locations. Results are steady around 80K upload. It is safe to assume that some of the tests I've done were in an area with HSPA+. It still would be very informative to hear from the Galaxy S3 owners there. Anyone?!
I have a 15 day old Galaxy Nexus. I tested as follows using TekSavvy as the Speedtest host both around 10:25 pm.
WIFI: Ping 135 ms / Download: 5100 kbps / ul 762 kbps
WIND: Ping: 277 / Download: 4149 kbps / ul 355 kbps
Biggest differenc is PING. I am on 5 Mbit DSL for the WIFI test. My data always works well on and off WIFI, but SMS are delayed and MMS will never work.
I live in Oakville.
And what is the geographic location you've tested it at? What area of the city?
Oakville at 3rd line and Dundas. The 355 is up is honestly a surprise because before this I never saw more than 90 kbps or so, may be the night time is less congested.
I get 5Mbps upload on Bell and 12Mbps download. This is on the exact same T999v phone that barely gets 300kbps on WIND.
It's not the phone, it's the network.
All comments are my own opinion and do not reflect the views of my employer or affiliated groups.
Jonavin, did you have MMS and SMS delay issues?
Areas where I got download speeds of 5-10Mbps I got 1-2mbps in upload speeds. But it varies sometimes it'll drop to ~300kbps.
Like someone said before, it's the network not the phone. But I gotta give Wind credit. They've improved since I joined in Sept. 2010.
Jonavin, saw the tweet so it explains todays SMS delays. I have worked with 3 phone support people and MMS never wokred int he past 15 days ... except if I sent to a WIND store phone and they sent to me ...
Just to bring the thread back to the topic: Could someone with GALAXY S3 on Wind network post their speed test results?
Thanks a lot, in advance.
