    help, phone suddenly has no service

    My phone has no service at all. I don't know if I did something or what. could someone have a customer service phone number handy. In my panic I can't find one anywhere. Or does anyone have any idea what could have happened.

    You need to provide more info. What phone do you have from Straight Talk or are you using the Straight Talk BYOP SIM?

    samsung galaxy proclaim. It was working one second and the next I tried sending a text and it said pending. then upon further trying to figure it out I tried making a phone call and it says mobile network unavaible.

    Did you try restarting your phone and making sure Airplane Mode isn't on?

    I did. It doesn't look like airplane mode is on although there is an airplane at the top of the phone. Should that be there?

    it really looks like airplane mode is on. But I can't get it off.it says it is off though.

    Go to your home screen, then press the menu key on your phone, then Settings, then Wireless/Networks and try switching on and off Airplane Mode. Is that what you've been doing? If so I'm out of ideas.

    try removing the battery and wait a few minutes,then insert the battery restart your phone.

    Ok. I tried that. It still appears to be stuck in airplane mode. the settings say it is not but the little airplane is displayed at the top of the screen. Does this sound possible? Is this a phone issue and not a ST issue? If I got another phone would that one work?

    If it's in airplane mode, the plane should be green.

    since you have a samsung galaxy proclaim you would need to call straight talk and transfer your number to the new phone.
    just make shure you have good verizon coverage in your area
    as there is no roaming with verizon/sprint straight talk phones.

    Service date is active. I finally called ST and they went through the zillion things to do which I had already done and decided it was a faulty phone. Thanks for all your help

    My Samsung Galaxy Proclaim just did this same thing. Finally got it off airplane mode by doing a factory reset, but still have no service signal displaying and can't make/receive calls. Talked to ST, nothing worked to fix it. Have seen through online searches that this seems to be a fairly common occurrence with the Proclaim. I would recommend to anybody that they DO NOT GET THE PROCLAIM!!!
