    3-CA was launched with B2-4-29 (45 MHz) and B2-4-12 (40 MHz).
4-CA is B2-4-7-7 (75 MHz). 256 QAM was enabled on all bands when 4-CA was launched.

Any subset of those bands is always possible as long as phone supports it.
On bell and Virgin website they still list as only 335mbps capable.
When will they announce 4 CA?

    It was announced in April:
    http://www.bce.ca/news-and-media/rel...anced-speeds-1

    http://www.bell.ca/Mobility/Our_netw...Mass_062217_DG

Virgin either forgot to update the website, or Bell prefers to imply fastest speeds apply to Bell customers only.

Because you're on a VPN. Shut the VPN off and then run tests

I was visiting my mom in North Oshawa, ON today and got similar crappy upload speeds:

    2017-07-19 4:17 PM 35.24, 1.22, 37
    2017-07-19 5:08 PM 25.36, 2.27, 37

According to the Telus coverage map, my mom is only in an LTE area, not an LTE Advanced area.

    I'm not using a VPN.

I was connected to a VPN at 7:34, and there are no tests at 7:34. Download doesn't even reach 30 Mbps with the VPN on.

The VPN can even get a faster upload speed than no-VPN.

That's really fast. Try a different server. Your pings are very high.

In Calgary it varies a lot...usually near downtown is faster than other places....I'm getting less than 20 down and 15 up lately in the SE.
When in Vancouver I was getting much faster speeds...close to 100-150 down all the time.

Where do you see what bands you’re on?

*3001#12345# Now...that has some limitations depending on your iPhone. If you have an Intel iPhone then it works but if you have a qualcomm phone you can only see the main band. Not the Aggregation bands.

    To check bands..

Step 1: *3001#12345#* in the phone dialer.
    Step 2: Choose LTE, then "Serving Cell ID" that'll show you the main band and the MHZ. 25= 5MHz 50= 10MHz, 75 = 15MHz and 100 = 20MHz.
Step 3: Check CA Status to see Aggregation bands.

**IF YOU CAN'T SEE BANDS CLICK BACK TILL YOU'RE AT THE FIRST MENU AND TOGGLE AIRPLANE MODE ON AND OFF**
