I watched the video from wwjoshdew that one of the links takes you to.
It seems simple enough but I don't want to be the first to do it to a brand new metro s3
When someone else has done it (and I hope they video it or at least make a step by step of it) then I'm game for it
I don't have a lot of personal time to do things like this..wish there was a one-click way
Also, I use iMac with Win 7 Ultimate on bootcamp when it comes to things like this, so I am wary that something like that may cause a problem and I don't need a $500 brick

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1746680 is the Snapdragon version which I THINK is what is on these phones, NOT the international version and I know someone will try it with the wrong one and get a brick

    This I posted in xda-developers
    Hello,
I have just gotten a MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy S3
I have gone and watched videos from wwjoshdew and followed these links
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1746680
    But those are for Sprint/Verizon/AT&T/Tmo
So I was wondering does anyone know if the Sprint version will work on MetroPCS S3's or
does it need a 'new image' or what?
Since I can not ask this noob question I am asking it here.
If it could be forwarded to someone who is a developer and such I would appreciate it.
I just got the phone 10/20/12 and the "offical" release is 10/22/12 on www.metropcs.com but the corporate stores (like here in Miami) had it available on 10/19/12.
So, since it's new I understand that part of the question but if anyone does know, please let me know.:fingers-crossed:

rooting the s3 was simple and installing recovery even simpler, i just used goomanager from market then installed twrp with that. and no metro pcs subforum at hofo is dead since metro pcs is turning to android phones more and more. we could get a live metro pcs android community going on here but theres already one on androidforums.com but never the less ill continue to share and help on here.
