    Flashing phones for Straight Talk?

I had a crazy idea that I wasn't sure if anyone has tried yet. Could you take a Samsung Galaxy Precedent and clone the ESN to a CDMA based phone like a Galaxy Nexus, then activate it? I know that there is quite a bit of work doing stuff like that to get phones working on Page Plus. Perhaps this is possible on Straight Talk?

I'm sure it's been done for Boost/Virgin, but why bother for Straight Talk? The pentaband Galaxy Nexus will yield greater coverage and faster speeds, so go with a Straight Talk SIM. Or are you already stuck with a CDMA-based phone? Shrinkage, Beyond Talk, and Ting are better options for what you’re saying. Cooter, others might take you seriously.

Just to see if it could be done lol. Actually, I think Straight Talk is either the cheapest or one of the cheapest Verizon MVNO. I'm not familiar with the ones you listed.

Personally, I use a. Galaxy Nexus GSM with Straight Talk T-Mobile and it's been great. Just curious if anyone tried that before.

Yes it can be done and has been done. There is a thread hidden somewhere here from like a year ago with specific instructions.

Samsung Galaxy Precedent on Straight Talk is not Verizon MVNO, nor the cheapest.

I meant the Galaxy Proclaim originally and that phone uses the Verizon network. I'm not aware of any other Prepaid Verizon MVNOs that offer unlimited calling and texts as well as "unlimited" data for $45 a month..

The Boost CDMA sub forum has many posts on this or you can Google "ESN Repair" + the model of your phone.
Straight Talk has the best deal in the USA on Verizon @ 45. Page plus has a similar plan @ 55 with BYOD and better customer service.

Yes, thus the reason I quoted unlimited originally. Although, I've heard that the Verizon side is generous much like the T-Mobile side.
