How to wipe out all info on an android?

My hubby doesn't want my Esteem, says it's too big and bulky so I am going to sell it. I have heard that it's hard to completely wipe an android of all info and that people can still get your info off of it. Is there a way to completely wipe it of everything?

Factory reset & don't include the SD card in the sale. I'd think that'd do.

I don't know, I heard that still won't completely wipe it, it will look it has been erased but supposedly the info can still somehow be accessed. I'll have to research it I guess.

True but I have never rooted my phones and wouldn't even know how to do it.

Factory reset returns your phone into the condition it was when you bought it. Meaning none of your information will be on it.

Reformat the sd card if you are going to sell it with the phone and you're good to go.

For most of Android devices, go to settings->security, and choose factory data reset.
    Done.

With all the used LG Esteems flooding the streets now that the S3 is out, you'd be lucky to get $140 for it so it's a good thing he's keeping it.

They are still pretty pricey at bestbuy. So yeah he'll be passing his Attain on to his sister.

    LG Esteem Reset Instructions
This procedure will NOT erase anything stored on the microSD card.
    1. Turn the phone off. If the phone is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it.
    2. While simultaneously holding the Volume UP and Down key, press and hold the Power key.
    3. When the LG logo appears, release the Power key (continue holding the volume keys).
    4. After a few seconds, the phone will display, “Permanently Erase User Data & Reset Settings?” Release the buttons.

Just in case you need it, I have the reset for all the androids phones metro has if anyone needs it.

To wipe out all info on an android phone, the best way is using android data eraser tool. It can easily erase all data from android phone, such as contacts, text messages, photos, videos, user names, passwords and all personal info.
