Tracfone LG 840G / Facebook Mobile Texting Setup

Was wondering if anyone has had success setting up Facebook mobile settings using this phone.Tracfone is not listed in the drop down. Wondering if I need to select AT&T or T-Mobile as provider. in Facebook mobile settings. Have not recieved confirmation after texting "F" using this phone to Facebook.

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Tried this again today and recieved an 8 digit confirmation code. Upon entering my code on the Facebook Mobile settings page and clicking the confirm button it detected the provider as being AT&T. Seems to be working as it should. Granted I could use this phones browser. This would be an alternate method of recieving notifications and posting to Facebook using sms. Not sure if this method would be noticeably more cost effective vs using the browser. Nice option for Tracfone users whos phones do not have internet.

SMS is not more effective than using the browser if you can do it in wifi. SMS always uses cell minutes and wifi is free.

This is a very interesting path of investigation. Please keep us posted on other discoveries you uncover.
