Someone of RFD reported a day or two ago that they were allowed to add it as a 3 year.
Actually, if you don't need a ton of data, if they they do allow the $57 on 3 year contracts and so make it iPhone 'compatible' it is probably the best iPhone/highend smartphone plan from any of the big 3 and their sub brands (assuming the promo with the VP included continues).

I just phoned up and tried to add the $57/mo plan on my 3 year, and they were unable to do so.

I too just called retentions to see if I could get the $57 plan on a 3-yr with iPhone HUP (and 6GB data as that's what I have now - ok, I'm pushing it lol) and they said no, but to call back before I pick up my iPhone 5 as they are 'gathering information' right now. So, maybe it will be offered. They know I am a 12-yr customer and even offered that I have been a fantastic customer but they couldn't do any better than what I have been offered.
I told them that they should re-offer the 6GB for 1GB data special again because the lack of iPhone 5 inventory precluded many people from getting this offer.
