I just happened to refresh my page and saw they were for order 10:38 CST. Took some work but got a 8gb.... confirmation took forever and my card was charged. Was too scared to try for a bumper figured I would go back... I was wrong. Got the phone ordered hopefully they will ship today and be here Thursday! Woot!

Yes, It seems to have opened for sale at just past 11:30am EST and pretty much sold out well before 11:45am.
Then it said 'coming soon' till 12:52, when only the 8 Gig was available for 2 minutes. 16 Gig doesn't seem to have come back at all.

(I wonder if some people that bought both an 8 and a 16 at 11:35 then canceled their 8GB order once they got email confirmation for the 16Gig.)

So, it looks like Google might be rationing availability for the sake of their servers... I just kept refreshing and eventually able to purchase one 8GB at 2PM EST.

For those of you who bought yours after the original "sellout" around noon, what is your status in "My Orders" section of Google Play?

I got through for one at 11:48am, and it says "Shipping estimate: November 15, 2012"

I got a second for a friend when the "add to cart" reappeared at 1:05pm. However in the status column for that order in Google Play it says "Pre-ordered"

I'm not sure if it's a glitch because they sold too many, or if the "add to cart" reappeared as some people canceled orders and they re-sold too many. The email confirmation for the second one that's supposedly pre-ordered still says "Delivered in 3-5 business days" under shipping status. Either way we'll see I guess.

Hopefully the first one arrives on Friday or early next week...

I am betting they are inventory coming back from abandoned carts. I got in quick after they opened it up mine says shipping estimate 15th but that would be 2nd day air so I am expecting it's shipping today to receive it on the 15th

I have been trying intermittently as well... No 16s. Nobody is abandoning their carts with 16s perhaps.

Some in the U.S. seem to have got 16s this afternoon.

Just noticed that the Nexus 10 32gb is sold out. 16gb is still available.

If you just have to have a Nexus 4 right now, go to eBay and you'll find plenty of them listed there!
And they are showing up on Craigs List too. Of course, you'll have to pay a bit more than what Google is (will be when they are in stock again) asking for them!!!
