    Razr M v. Razr HD

In the market for a new phone. It has come down to these two, the Razr M, or the Razr HD. I know the differences, but I'd like some other opinions. What do we all think?

I agree. Nothing is as precious as battery life when you don't have a spare.

Yep, you can't kill the Maxx HD. I've had mine since 11/06/12 and I can easily get one day of moderate to heavy use out of it-streaming audio, web surfing, Facebook, Twitter, E-mail(updates once an hour on those) using location services like Field Trip, Google Now, and navigation as well. I'm currently at 78% after 9 hours and 30 minutes off the charger. And I've had smartphones since the HTC Wizard back in '06. This includes one Apple phone(3G). This Razr blows all of them out of the water.

I'm in love with the Razr M, and I have read somewhere that it can be user in another country over GSM frequencies, but can someone confirm its also possible to use it in america with GSM? Or is it locked to CDMA?

Re: Razr M v. Razr HD

The Verizon version of the phone will not connect to GSM networks broadcasting an American identifier. Anything 310-xxx or 311-xxx is blocked. Even a foreign SIM will not work to roam on an American GSM network.

A foreign SIM on a foreign network works perfectly after you set the data APN information correctly. You get HSPA data just fine.

    Well, actually...we fixed that yesterday!

With a fairly simple NV edit you can have a RAZR M or HD fully functional on domestic GSM carriers now.

I have a RAZR M and like it very much, it has the same hardware as the Maxx HD, but less pixels to drive, so it's actually a faster phone. Not sure if in day-to-day use this is noticeable though...

I went for the M because of its smaller screen, I wanted it to comfortably operate it with one hand.
