BYOD question: T-Mobile SIM in iPhone 5

I've put a ST (TMO) SIM in my Verizon iPhone 5, and am disappointed in my data speeds. The display says "E" and the speeds seem slow even for EDGE.

Rather than troubleshooting, I'm wondering if anyone is getting HSPA+ with the TMO SIM. Is it even possible with an iPhone 5?

I know that my area has good coverage because I've gotten 10.49 mbps down with a real TMO SIM in a Nexus 4.

Even snarky responses are appreciated. Thanks.

BYOD question: T-Mobile SIM in iPhone 5

I am waiting for the same response. I'm using iPhone 5 with AT&T sim, but I'm willing to change to tmobile sim because of the limited data on AT&T. Lets hope other users has good updates!

BYOD question: T-Mobile SIM in iPhone 5

It's possible but only in certain areas where T-Mobile has refarmed their 1900mhz spectrum for 3G/4G. (The iPhone doesn't support AWS 3G/4G)

It's possible your area will be refarmed but I wouldn't wait on it. Better just get the AT&T SIM.

Thank you. Do the Nexus 4 and Galaxy Note 2 support AWS 3g/4g? If so, that would explain my awesome speeds with the TMO SIM.

Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 are pentaband and fully support ATT/T-mobile HSPA. The Note 2 is quad band and comes in AT&T and T-mobile specific versions.
Nexus 5 rooted with ST AT&T LTE SIM & full Google Voice integration

I believe that the tmobile version of the note2 is also pentaband and can be used on either, but I wouldn't stake my life on it. Actually believe I've read in another thread about someone who has used both a note 1 and note 2 that were tmobile versions, and they used them both on AT&T with high speeds.

Is there any map to show you if your area has Tmobile 3G/4G?
