APN settings from ST to ATT

I am going to be borrowing a friend's ATT iphone 3GS for a month to try out straight talk. I want to try it out before i cancel my verizon contract. I know i need to go to the unlockit website to change the apn settings for ST data to work. however, i want to make sure that i can give this phone back to my friend and she can still use it on ATT if she needs to. so...can you change the apn settings back so ATT data will work? can you do that with the unlockit site? do you even need to change it back? Thanks!

Why not use a cheap GoPhone phone to test the service? Why modify the settings in a telephone you are not going to continue to use?

Yes, they do. It does not matter what telephone you use for testing the network. You are going to have buy a telephone anyway if you decide to switch to Straight Talk.

I would take the opposite approach. If you are just trying it out for a month, and have a friend who is willing to let you borrow a compatible phone, then why would you spend money on a cheap phone that you won't need. I'm assuming you're planning to buy a nice phone if you decide to switch to ST. I would borrow the phone. Unless you're going to keep the cheap phone as a backup, which isn't a terrible idea, it's just money thrown down the drain. As stated, you can switch the APN back, or if you do a data reset to wipe the phone, it will clear all that out as well.

The NEXUS 4 becomes available today from 12:00 noon PST. Hold on to your hat, it might be flying all over the place. I hope GOOGLE got their act together this time around. HOORAY
