Thread: New LG840G-overcharged for text?!

    My S390G did something similar, charging me .6 for a text reply. My guess (and I could be wrong) is that if a text is longer it incurs the longer charge, something that might be more likely given that a reply includes the original message in it.

    Given how Tracfone has quietly increased data rates on their 3G phones, this is probably not a surprise. (Maybe that's why these phones are TMFL?) Irritating, though.

    The original is not included in a reply.

    Don't confuse a multi-page text with over charging. It's not hard to write a 2 page text which will run 0.6 min. I've even managed 3 pages with some long messages.

    Each page is 160 characters. It doesn't take long to get there.

    When I get replies they have my original message attached. Not sure if it is their phones or what.

    That would be their phone.

    I get that when I send using email (the gatway adds the quote), but none of my phones will quote a SMS message.
