    LG840G Apps??

I'm looking for apps to play around with on my LG840G - maybe a good sudoku game.

    Any suggestions?

I think we need a thread where poeple post which apps work and which ones do not.

Here are a couple I got to work on my LG840G after playing around with the .JAD files

    Platinum+Sudoku+240x320.jar version 1.0.3 I can't remember where I got this.
disneysudo.jar Version 0.20.1 Disney Sudoku all touchscreen. I got this from JavaMobiles.net

Get apps from either http://lg-840g.java-mobiles.net/software or http://koolwap.in/games_app/radio/jar/1.html. And use Phone Uploader http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/ to send the .jar files to your LG 840G phone's email address, which is xxxxxxxxxx@txt.att.net. By the way, are we allowed to post links?

If the system lets you do it, you can post links.

If you guys run across a radio app that actually works for the LG 840G, please let me know about it. Cause I have tried and tested like 15 to 20 radio apps and only one of them ALMOST worked. Thanks.

My Avast doesn't block this one, but it blocks some of the further links.

BitDefender only blocks links that may contain viruses. It doesn't block any of the links I posted.

I was able to put SimCity Metropolis on my 840G. Works well. Downloaded it from umnet.com
IDK how legit the site is. I scanned the app with Anti malware bytes and AVG. No problems.

The default bar thing with the 4 arrows etc shows up in game so I added this line to the file.
    LGE-MIDlet-Display-Nav-Keypad: no

Only problem is that when starting the game it asks to enable sounds I have no way to press OK
So the grey bar with arrows hides some text and icons.

    Fantastic phone BTW

    Whatsapp messenger app

Hi, does anybody has any success installing "whatsapp messenger" app into LG840g?
If yes, where can I download a signed version of the working app?

    Thanks.

    Hello,
It's complicated & time consuming to find and test java apps and then modify them to remove the base nav menu. I've processed hundreds and ended up with a few dozen good working LG840g (aka LGT375) java touch phone apps which seem to be working just fine. Basically, you search google for "320x240 java touchscreen app" and then install and test. Copy the Apps to the SD card by data cable, bluetooth, or by SD card plugged into your PC. Then go to the phone file folder and click the app to install. Then go to Apps to click and run the app.

I keep trying, but can't post links here because I'm new here (duh).
Here, let me try it like this; and moderator can fix it if he deems fit (duh):

Note: unzip the zips before installing

    Regards,

Anyone want to help me dig through the iphone apps to find any matching jars?
Most are Android and Apple only, due to java security issues.

For anyone keeping up with my LG840g app downloads page, please make sure
that you clear browser history or click the browser refresh button to clear browser
cache; so that you'll see the updated list (additions).

Note: Unzip he Zips before installing

FYI, I just went over the most popular Chat apps,
    searching for compatible jars....

    Top Messaging Apps:
    ======================================
GrooveIP, bobsled, Facebook Call, SipDroid, etc...
Go SMS Pro preferred over Handscent, chaton,
    TEXTME, Handcent, GoChat, GoogleTalk, skype,

    Note on Fring.Handcent.Skype.Vibre.WeChat.and WhatsApp
    ======================================
*Handcent (most popular) is android & apple only.
Nokia Site (s40 fits lg840) has most others, but I can't
find a legit download (found spammer fakes).

Jar Search (Unfound jars in Bold)
Note: Non jar apps marked "android/ios".

    ============================================
talkonaut (jar), Hangouts (android/ios), talkatone (android/ios),
grooveip (android/ios), nimbuzz (jar), handcent (android/ios),
fring (rar???), vibre (rar???), WhatsApp-IMS (jar???),
PicoSMS (jar), googletalk (android/ios), bobsled (android/ios),
pinger (rar, see browser plugins), wechat (jar???),
IMPlus (jar), sipdroid (android/ios), gosms (android/ios-soon),
m.facebook.com (all phones), gotalkmobile IM (jar),
textme (android/ios), gochat (android/ios), skype (jar???),
    chaton (android/ios).

    All Underlined are here:

Here's a website which will let you download signed trusted copies of
most software straight to your phone: Site: boostapps (d0t) com ...
GoogleMaps, Calendar, UCBrowser, Opera, plus the office and
productivity tools. You have to enter the code for the software you want,
    and then click download.
