I used to use the Amber Alerts web page to determine what carrier a phone number belonged to.
On Dec 31 this service is changing.
Does anyone know a similar webpage where a phone number can be entered and the carrier displayed?
Thanks.
Bump. Any news
tnid.us was great until a couple months ago, when they decided to paywall current carrier data. They still show original carrier info and current CNAM data though.
I just found Retro Sleuth which has been accurate for the numbers I've tried so far, including some that have been through multiple ports, but I don't know anything about this company.
This one seems to work.

Thank you GaryST, mobile carriers are showing correctly, including my line ported 3 weeks ago, and my Google Voice and Skype-In numbers are shown as VoIP phones.
I have used http://www.searchbug.com/tools/landl...cellphone.aspx with good success as well
I just use google voice. Click on your GV from http://www.google.com/voice number like you are adding a phone, beside the phone numbers already in GV it says the carrier (though not specifically "PagePlus" rather Verizon, or AT&T not StraightTalk, for example). If you port your number from X to Y make sure you remove and re-add your phone number when the port is totally complete, or it could give bad info.
