S55: Phone does not accept incoming calls

Well, I have been hearing some reports from friends that they get a "at the subscribers request, this phone does not accept incoming calls" instead of my voicemail.

I have figured that whenever I am recieved a call and I push the "end call (red) button" they get that message, whereas if i let it ring then they go to my voicemail.

Has anyone else experienced this problem / have a solution?

I know someone who had a similiar issue... their issue was that forwarding to the voicemail wasn't activated so when they pressed the end button when the fone rang the party calling would get a quick busy signal where as if the fone rang 4 or 5 times it would go to the voicemail. After turning the voicemail forwading on all seems to be fine he hasn't had any issues since.

alright Synncere, this is about to get weirder...

ok, so i set up all my call forwarding just to be safe even though I dont need to... and I have figured out the poblem.

if i push the "reject" or "forward" (depending on forwarding settings) soft-key they get shot to voicemail. if i push the end call button (red key) then they get sent to the "at the subscribers request this phone does not accept incoming calls"

    talk about odd...

You're not alone... After talking to a few people they have the same thing or something similiar to it.... I find it odd as that doesn't happen to me; but hey look on the brightside this way if someone calls and you don't care to speak to them or want them to leave a message you can dump the call all together. All they hear is "At the subscribers request this phone does not accept incoming calls"

I just tried this out with my S55 and here's what happened:

If I don't pick up, the call will go to voicemail.
If I reject the call with the red key, the caller will get a fast busy signal....
If I reject the call using the reject key, the call will go to voicemail.

    Not sure why that is.
