i'm gonna try it and see if it works out better than the 4g monthly tmo for $30.
Never be afraid to try, but always know where your back up is when you screw up!

Thanks for the tip, just ordered one. There's no limit to how many you can order, and no expiration date on the top up cards?
1 yr on top ups so i wouldn't buy more than 11

How does 3 $40 top ups covers you for 15 months, am I missing something?
Each top up card is valid for 5 months, so 3 x 5 = 15 months.
Remember there are 2 completely different types of $40 cards you can get with this deal. You can get the $40 top up card for Paygo and get 800 minutes for 5 months. Or you can get the $40 monthly card, which provides unlimited calling, texts, and data for 30 days. With the promo code, you can get either of these cards and a SIM for $20 shipped.

exactly!! Thanks! As long as data does not eat up all the $$ I'm good.Use very little minutes most of the time and text via GV. Try to use wifi and data is for emergencies only when out and about. Still on 4g monthly tmo for 5 more weeks, then port to ptel.
10 cents per MB for data seems like a good price, most others I have seen charge like 33 cents a minute. But that is still just an average of 80 MB monthly with the $40 Paygo, enough for email and some web surfing or social media.
I was told by a csr that pins are the same, and that it depends on what plan you picked when activating.
In other words, a top up for the 250MB plan or for real paygo can use either pin. Again, that's based on what I was told by a Ptel rep...

I don't know if there is something wrong with their website but this code PTEL25BRAD is no longer working. Its supposed to work til feb 28. The site also doesn't seem to have the $40 paygo card or the $40 unlimited card. It keeps saying some kind of error.
the $40 unlimited card is completely out and the $40 paygo card has been removed. The coupon code does work but only for the $50 unlimited card but not the $50 paygo card.
Since I haven't seen confirmation that the PTELSLICK20 code works on existing account, just wanted to verify that it does.
I just used the PTELSLICK20 promo code to buy a sim and $40 refill card for $20. I already have an existing PAYGO account, so I used the "activation pin" that came with the sim to Top Up my existing account. $40 was added to my account and expiration is 150 days from when I added.
Seems like a good way to get a good deal on PTEL credit. Rates are even more reasonable (instead of 5c/min, 2 c/txt and 10c/MB of data, with this deal we are essentially getting 2.5c/min, 1c/txt and 5c/MB of data). Plus it slightly reduces the minimum cost of having a PTEL account to $4/month ($20/5months) from $5/month ($10/2months).
Hope this is helpful to others.
I just got it too. I saw if I'm logged into my existing account, the coupon wont work. I feel guilty for buying it because I'm sure they only meant to give that discount to new users. They might find out and fix it but until then, I guess people will keep buying it.
