Im currently with fido until my contract (which has haunted my for about half a year now) expires next november.
The rest of my family is on mobilicity and paying half what i pay and getting far more services.
My Blackberry curve 8520 trackpad is broken and i need a new phone. Ive tried all the fixes i could find (though im open to try any ideas you guys have).
I dont want to spend lots on a new phone just to not be able to use it when i switch, and i tend to keep my phones longer than the average person. Ive had my bb since mid 2010 i think.
Im looking for a phone that can operate on Wind (AWS) and Fido (GSM)

The above suggestions work, iirc most Nokia Windows phones are pentaband as well.
If you're ok with spending a bit more, the T999 Galaxy S III or the T889V Note II would also fit the bill.
Good luck,
Louis
how do i find out if for example the galaxy s3, which i actually like the look of is the t999 model or not.
For example, the model mobilcity and fido are selling are different and i think only the mobiliicy one would work on both but i have like 600 fido dollars.
Also, i should note that phones have really never been really important to me.
I have a couple expensive hobbies and dropping 600 dollars (fido dollars are ok) on a phone isnt the best option for me, but its better than dropping 300 dollars twice. If theres a pentaband phone that i could get used or its cheap that would be sick.
What about the Samsung Exhibit II 4G SGH-T679

Fido has the Galaxy Nexus
but its specs are different from mobilicitys. I dont think the fido model supports AWS
if a phone lists
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
In its specs, is it mobiliticy compatible.
100000% its the same phone.... As I said they only made one Galaxy nexus... Its a pentaband phone wich will work with Fido as well as Mobi...one other nice thing is the phone is unlocked...
Thanks for the help everyone, especially shushwap.
So now it comes down to two options
A 150 dollar nokia with real $$ or a 599 dollar galaxy s3 with fido dollars.
Theoretically i could buy an s3 with fido dollars, sell it and buy the cheap nokia and pocket like 400 bucks.
The Fido HTC One S will work on Wind/Mobilicity. You can probably use your Fido $ to buy it outright.
