    wirelessamberalerts.org has shut down

http://wirelessamberalerts.org has shut down. We willl have to find a new site for finding the underlying carrier for a phone number.

Hi kevdogg329. Thanks for the tip. I have google voice. How do you use google voice to determine who the underlying carrier is for a particular phone number? Thanks

you have to add the number to GV, but you do not have to activate the number as a forward number in GV, it will still tell you the underlying carrier. i then delete the whole thing like it never happened.

OK I never heard of that. I'll try it.

This one does not work with my tracfone number. Does not tell the carrier. Says:
Omnipoint Miami E License Llc (Tracfone) not verizon.
    Use:
    www dot whitepages dot com

says the carrier verizon in my case.

I just ported a number from Virgin Mobile to Tracfone yesterday. Whitepages.com already shows the carrier as Verizon. Tnid.us shows the original carrier.

tnid.us went pay-only for current provider information. I agree with whitepages being the one to use, although their mobile site does not provide it.
