    Merging Safelink and Tracfone accounts?

Was posed with a question, and I do not have an answer for it, so I thought I see if anyone here could answer it. I have a friend that had an LG800g activated with the monthly minutes added from tracfone. Recently they qualified for Safelink, and was wondering if they could add the safelink minutes to their current Tracfone, or move their Tracfone minutes (approx 1100 min) to the Safelink phone, or will they just have to carry 2 phones and numbers?

    any info would be appreciated.

Yes, you can do it. And you don't have to maintain 2 phones or 2 numbers.

Most likely they want to keep the LG 800, not the low-end Safelink phone that they get for free, right? And also most likely they want to keep their Tracfone phone number and drop the Safelink number?

After they get the Safelink phone they would call Exec Resolutions Mon-Fri 9 - 5 Eastern time. Ignore all the Safelink numbers they tell you. Stick with Exec Res. They tell Exec Res they want to transfer Safelink service to the currently active Trac LG 800, let the Trac service expire and use the Trac phone number as the Safelink number. That way they don't have to wait for a replacement sim for the LG 800 and they don't have to notify everybody that they have a new number.

The rates were changed/improved effective Dec 3, 2012. They are not posted on all pages associates with the Safelink website. But

they are in effect. You can find the new rate at http://www.safelink.com. Click on Terms and Conditions at the very bottom of the page. It is in really small mice type

Option 1 -- 68 minutes per month w/ rollover, unlimited free texting send/receive
    Option 2 -- 125 minutes per month w/ rollover, 0.10 minutes text send/receive
Option 3 -- 250 minutes per month no rollover*, 0.20 minutes text send/receive

*If you add airtime once every 3 months, the minutes will rollover

This is correct, except they have not activated their Safelink phone yet.

Won't that cause them to lose the 1100 minutes/400+ days of service they currently have on the Tracfone? Also what is the exec resolution number?

Will pass on the rate change, does this apply to carried over tracfone minutes as well?
