    Galaxy S3 battery life

I'm about to grab a Galaxy S3 in the coming days, my question is what kind of improvement over my current Indulge should I expect on my battery life? Can I finally expect a day without charging with light 4g usage?

I just realized I should define my usage, I ride the bus to and from work, so that's 2 hours of at least playing music a trip.

You'll be good but just to be sure just bring a charger with you. Also if your using it for music than root it and turn the CPU down while listening to the music it'll safe you sometime also turning off GPS but again you should be good without doing that.

I usually have from 19-24hours of battery life. I do some calling internet use and some 2d gaming. Usually YouTube makes my battery drain. But still coming from the lg connect this phone is amazing in battery life.

Thanks for the responses guys, 19-24 would do me nicely. off topic (only slightly though, I'm trying to get educated before I buy) did everything important from the other versions of the S3 survive? namely USB2go, well I know NFS is there but is it fully there or are some things locked? etc?

I had the LG Connect before, battery life would drain to nothing in 12-18 hours of almost no usage. My GS3 I still have 60%+ left after 18 hours of the same usage. My wife had about 4 hours of calls the other day and was only down to 41%.

The one thing I have noticed that will kill the battery is if it is searching for a 4G signal in an area with no 4G coverage. That will eat it up fast. I may have to load one of the apps to turn off 4G unless I need it when in those areas.

to make a long story short, the battery life is good for 2 days with light usage.

After having both of these phones, including a few others in between I can assure you tbe buttery life is WAY better. I work 10 hr shifts, and this gets pretty heavy usage during that time (It's my primary GPS as well and I drive all over as I'm a cable guy) and rarely does it have to hit the charger.

For reference, yesterday I had minimal usage with the phone.. After 16 hours I had 84% of my battery left. My wife over the same time had 23% left. We found that she was using an animated screen saver and it was eating up a lot of her battery. She had about 1 hour of phone calls as well.

I did some pretty heavy ussage the other night at work including 3 hours of video all in all it was at least 8 hours and was down to about 30% with my connect the same 8 hours with little to no use I would be down to 20% easily.

If you have problems with the phone's battery, you can try to use this guide: android.gs/ increase-samsung-galaxy-s2-battery-life/ I've followed the advices from the article on my Galaxy S3 (even the article is written for S2) and the battery life was improved. I believe with about 25-30 percents.
