Sprint family plan to Net10 Unlimited

Hello, I have a few questions I hope someone can help me out with.

I would like to move 2 phones from sprint to net10, keeping both our numbers and phones.
The phones are a Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4g, and a Blackberry curve, both CDMA.
I have also recently relocated from Michigan to Houston.

    Questions:
    Is this dooable?
Can I keep the Michigan numbers even though I am now in Texas?
Can I bring these devices to Net10 on verizon (cdma) network?
Is there anything I need to do to the phones to make them work on net10?
How long does it take to port the numbers?
What is the best way to transfer these phones (buy the plan through net10 or through a third party provider)

Thanks for any help or advice anyone can give me.
    Ron

To keep the numbers you will need to use google voice since the distance is great. You cannot BYOD to net10 since it is CDMA however their are mvnos like page plus that allow it or you could purchase a GSM phone for Net10.

Since Net10 can provide service only to BYOD GSM, you are out of luck there. I recommend Page Plus. It is a Verizon MVNO (reseller) and it specializes in BYOD, but they also sell some (crummy) phones. You will have to have your phones flashed from Sprint to Verizon. There is a Page Plus dealer (the biggest) that has an affiliation with a flashing service. I think you will be happiest there, I have used that dealer.

You can port whatever phone number you want. It is just your responsibility to keep in mind the long-distance issue if someone wants to call you.

Lisme. That sounds interesting and I will look into it.
Is there software out to flash these phones myself?

    Thanks,
