What 1.5 gigabyte cap? Only Net10 uses that. Don't you read the replies in the thread?

where in Straight Talk does it says you get 1.5 gig allowance, far as I know, they can throttle at anytime.

Don't worry about what the rep said, they don't know squat about what they are talking about. It really is not their fault, they are not even in this country and obviously receive very little training and information about the service they are supposed to supporting.

Just save yourself any further hassle and find another provider, port out, and move on.

Thank you and what provider would that be, after i invested 220 $ in a sky rocket.

Would a t mobile sim give me 4 gigs as the rep said?

if not i want my money back , she told me that she would refund my money then hold/ hung up.

Is your Skyrocket an AT&T model or the Straight Talk model?

there is not a galaxy s2 skyrocket for st. its att. now unlocked. had it for two months= locked i assume.

I had it unlocked yesterday for 8$ which it might have already been unlocked but didnt have a live t mo sim to test it. So we may be getting warmer as to what happened

would buying a t mo sim help at all with throttling?

Re: Been throttled for 867 megs used this month

There is no known throttling with Straight Talk's resold T-Mobile service.

You will likely get 2G speeds if you use a ST T-Mobile compatible SIM in the unlocked Galaxy S 2 Skyrocket.

These are the frequencies the Skyrocket supports:
    2G NetworkGSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
    3G NetworkHSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
    4G NetworkLTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100

We don't have access to any LTE networks with Straight Talk so you can ignore the LTE frequencies. T-Mobile's 3G network uses 1700 and in some areas 1900 due to a roaming agreement with AT&T.

That means you will only get 2G speeds on T-Mobile's network unless your area has been "refarmed" to 1900.

Only if T-Mobile has refarmed your area with 1900MHz 3G.

Otherwise the max you'll get on 2G EDGE is 0.2mb download speeds.

Don't understand refarm. live in Seattle so.
So lets find a solution ...I was getting 6 Meg dload I guess at 4g. So 220$ skyrocket on att wont work so now buy a galaxy s2 on tmob for 6 Meg unthrottled 4 Gig cap
