    2) If you point out that their own service (not your phone) says that you're under data limits, they will tell you to ignore their own data.
    3) If you're like me and buy in multiple-months, they check your end service data (mine is often 90+ days away) and will indicate that you're throttled until the end service data. They'll encourage you to buy new service to get the data reset.
    4) The will indicate that even if you buy a years worth of service, you get 5 GB total for that year. Which is absolutely incorrect.

(the above has been my experience on multiple calls)
This is definitely true (at least in what people are reporting, I've never trusted them enough to buy multiple months at one time for a discount.) Even if you buy a 3, 6, 12 month plan or whatever, they will claim you only get a total of 5GB for the entire duration (not 15GB for 3 months, not 30 for 6, etc.) This would obviously be incorrect, but they will tell you that. At which point, imho, your head should probably explode. Not sure if it should be due to their stupidity in thinking you should only get 1 month of data when you buy multiple months of service, or at your own stupidity for trusting them with that much of a commitment (no offense meant to the user.) Have heard this from several people recently who purchased multi-month plans.

I switched from the 5GB to the new 10GB plan today and hit "apply now" and it shows my service end date is now 30 days from now, but I'm still throttled. What can I do? Going to call them in the morning but I know they're useless.

Probably everyone will eventually move to Total Wireless, now that they have LTE.

Being on a throttled network is always a massive fun kill especially on tablet devices. But i can always bypass throttling by rooting devices.

I heard Total Wireless is limited to a 5 Mbps download speed. Straight Talk is 8. Accept here in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Verizon has such a stronger signal and they actually do have LTE. They are the only ones that have LTE here in the southern tip of the big island. So this would be a very good option for people here. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you'll only be allowed to roam if you are a direct Verizon customer. So total Wireless customers will only be able to use Verizon towers. That's how most every prepaid system I've ever seen works. This is probably a non-issue in Hawaii since Verizon has Superior coverage here. It's still not as cheap as cricket if you have multiple lines.
