Since the display looks to hold StraightTalk, Net10 and the Family Mobile phones all of those phone can not be TM serviced.
The FamilyMobile would be TM serviced, but the N10 and ST phones would all be CDMA and either Sprint or Verizon. That was what I was getting at.

The phonenews article from Saturday reads "expected launch next weekend", but I tend to question a considerable portion of what they write. For example the article also states "Ting and Voyager Mobile... full Sprint MSRP", yet Ting's Galaxy S3 price is lower than Voyager.

Via a private message from sara @ st "the s3 s960L has already been released by Walmart?" I am assuming this is the Tmobile version. Does anyone know if/when ST plans to release the s960C version? Also, will it be on Verizon or sprint? Thanks in advance for any/all information.

Anyone have any updated info on the CDMA Galaxy. Where I work, verizon is the only network that gets reception the building and I would really like an updated phone. Right now I am using a Droid X2 on pageplus, but would really like to upgrade to a modern phone without having to deal with flashing a 4G phone to work on 3G. If this phone is on verizon's network, it would be a no brainer for me (I've looked at the Iphone 5, but the cost and IOS in general is not for me).

As a side note, it really annoys me that we don't have an organized system in the US like they do in Europe where all cell phone carriers have to use a standard signal and have to share their towers (at a profit of-course). How is it that Europe has more of a free enterprise system while we have allowed these mini-monopolies to form?

Thanks for the update. Kinda junk that it's Sprint but at least it has LTE. Unfortunately Sprint is the only major carrier in my area not to have LTE yet. Verizon and AT&T launched first, T-Mobile is this month, and Sprint is nowhere in sight.

According to Sprint, they should have LTE almost everywhere that they currently serve in the next 12 months. They've been turning it on here in SoCal for the last few months. For me, Sprint service (on Ting) is fine, but I wouldn't spend that much money on a phone unless I could roam on Verizon (at least for voice and text).

Well, time will tell if they can actually do it. I tried Ting and did like that they roamed on Verizon for voice/text. I had to ditch the Sprint network because 3G was consistently 0.5Mb/down and 0.02Mb/up which made some apps unusable since the upload was so slow it would time out. The coverage was great (better than T-Mobile in some instances) but it was only good for voice/text since data was so slow.

It needs to be sub $300. No way in hell people will pay that much for a phone that only works properly in cities (you'll be lucky if it even does that) Unless ST allows full VZW roaming with 3g data, I predict a whole lot of returns.
