I hope you enjoy your new iPhone 5 on Wind Mobile. Just don't download too much and crash the network. iPhone users are notorious for being data hogs

If you bought it outright from T-Mobile, they're supposed to unlock it. Give them a call.

WIND said they have something to "stay tuned" for more iPhone news. We shall see what they announce...
Would this version of the iPhone like most other devices that work fine on WIND/Mobilicity only work on the Big 3's 2G network?
It's locked?!? Out of curiosity where did you buy it from? I'm headed to the Buffalo Apple store tomorrow morning. Damn thing better be unlocked. I'll have to test it out with my Fido SIM before leaving the store. Hate to get back home and find out the same thing. Hopefully you don't have to drive far to get it sorted out.
One other question.. Did you have to pay tax at the border? What did you tell them?
According to MobileSyrup, "A reader apparently went into the Toronto Eaton Centre Apple Store and purchased the iPhone 5, cut down his WIND SIM and got it to work on their network".
Can anyone confirm that Apple Canada is now selling the AWS compatible iPhone 5?
