I've been told they still do. 6G for $30.

Wow these guys are straight up clownz, they even said you can look for other carriers and they can't extend my $10 Data Credit for another 3 Years, b/c I'm paying too little already.

The "NEW" bare minimum of a smartphone plan is $50.00

    EPP $17.50
    200 DT, E/W Free after 6:00pm

    Value Pack $10.00
1500 SMS, EVM, CID & CW

    6GB of Data $30.00

Credit $10.00 - Expires next month.

    Total $47.50 w/ credits and $57.50 w/o credits

You are correct sir! I called yesterday trying to add long distance to my plan. They won't even budge. My plan expires August 3rd and it looks like I'm switching to Fido with an in market plan! WHOA!

Roger's won't do anything to try to keep my business. Funny right after watching the news story stating that wireless bills have decreased by 15% in the last 3 years, mine is going up...

They don't care if you go to Fido though, its still the same company.

We had the basically same plan,(I also have 100min LD for free, and 250 DT instead of 200) and same respond trying renew the credit. "Already discounted/special plan" "not eligible for further discount" . But did get $5 credit added to my other line, so my total only $5 more than before, which still consider good enough for me.

    My plan is very similar:

    EPP $17.50
    200 DT, E/W Free after 6:00pm

    Value Pack $15.00
2500 SMS, EVM, WhoCalled, CID & CW

    6GB of Data $30.00

My credits were: $15 data credit and $15 Value Pack credit.

My credits expired on June 30th, 2013.

I was paying around $51 after taxes per month.

The only credit I got renewed was for data but it was only for $10. My bills now are $70/month. Sux!

I gotta do the same thing. Credits expire in September.
Is the process to contact retentions still the same?

Also, for those of you renewing plans, are you also getting new hardware?
I always have, and so extended contract for 3 yrs (along with the credits).
How do credit expiry work when you don't get new hardware? Are you still doing a contract? If you do, might as well get new hardware and sell?

You still call their number and say you're interested in cancelling. If you don't get new hardware they generally only offer credits for a year or less, with hardware for the 3 year plan. Selling hardware could be a good way to go if you don't want it .

I can attest after threatening to cancel a family's line and dealing with the retentions department that they have really tightened up things and you have to really fight for credits/perks. I mean they wouldn't even offer up the standard retention plan and would've put through the 30 day cancellation.
